The following are the relevent documents required to have safe entry into Kenya
Passport
Please ensure that your passport is valid and is an international passport. Remember, you cannot move out of your country legally with an expired or faulty passport. To avoid last minute hassles, prepare and check your documents early.
Kenyan Visa
As far as visas are concerned, there are three categories of tourists to Kenya.
- Those that don't require visas
- Those who require normal visas
- Those who require refered visas
Tourists who don't require Kenyan visas
ANTIGUE AND BARBUDA, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO, BARBADOS, GRENADA, THE BAHAMAS , ST. LUCIA, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES, URUGUAY, TUVALU, BELIZE, UGANDA, BOTSWANA, GAMBIA, GHANA, JAMAICA, SEYCHELLES, TANZANIA, LESOTHO, MALAWI, ZAMBIA, ZIMBABWE, ETHIOPIA, MAURITIUS, NAMIBIA, NAURU, SIERRA LEONE, SWAZILAND, SAN MARINO, MALAYSIA IF LESS THAN 30 DAYS, SINGAPORE, MALDIVES, CYPRUS, BRUNEI, TURKEY, VANUATU, TONGA, FIJI ISLANDS, PAPUA NEW GUINEA, SAMOA, KIRIBATI, SOLOMON ISLANDS.
Tourists who require Refered Visas
This are people whose applications are sent to Nairobi (Kenya) for approval.
AFGHANISTAN, ARMANIA, IRAQ, LEBANON, MALI, NORTH KOREA, TADJKISTAN, SENEGAL, SOMALI, SYRIA, JORDAN, NIGERIA, CAMEROON, AZERBAIJAN AND STATELESS PEOPLE NOT HOLDING ANY PASSPORT OR OTHER TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Tourists who require Normal Visas
The rest of the world. Visas can be obtained either at the Kenya high commission or any points of entry to Kenya (Airports and ports). Visa Fees are US $50 for single entry visa and $100 for multiple entry visa (price subject to change).
The visa application form

After filling it, present the application to the Kenya high commission in your country or at the point of entry together with your passport, a passport sized photo, a travel itinerary and a stamped self addressed envelope. It would be a good idea to also give your office hours telephone.
Import Licenses for pets
These are obtained by writing an application form to the embassy togeher with a current health certificate from the vetinary doctor, a stamped self addressed envelope, a fee of US $30. Processing time is approximately one week.
