Community Boats and Excursions is a CBO based in Baringo district. It was formed by the youth around the lake with the aim to gain income from tourism activities. Their activities include birdwatching tours, boating, excursions into the lake as well as community education.

Wildlife
The lion has long been known as the King of the jungle and rightly so. Being the largest predator, it has no enemies apart from man. It is seen as a symbol of courage and nobility in many African states and tribes, especially among the Maasai community who take pride in single handed killing of a lion during rites of passage.
